Three Months and 6,5 Kilograms Later...

Lucy is a new dog, seriously.

Back in May, the vet made me promise to put her on a strict diet of only 240 grams of food for “obese” dogs and to walk her a minimum of one hour each day.

"La Bella Cicciona" back in May...

Eyeing the focaccia and hoping gran-pa will give her some...

She did it. And it took years off her aging process.

“12 is the new 9”!

Under 32 chili (kilograms) and feeling great!

I am so proud of you, Lulu, even if some things never change...

The 5 O’Clock Pose: “Where’s my din-din?”

Buon weekend e ferragosto!

What a dear, dear face she has! I love yellow labs. They are the very best dogs in the world. I know because I have one too. She's now 14 years old and was overweight. We did the same thing you did for Lulu and now "Tib" is slim again. But...she's almost totally deaf and stumbles sometimes. She still likes to beg for food at the table, though! It's only a matter of time. So hard to see them age.

Sorry I misquoted her lovely name! Lucy, not Lulu. My yellow darling is the second one for us. We will always have a yellow lab, I think.
Sometimes we talk about how many more dogs we will have in our lifetimes. I say we need to double or triple up on dogs to get our full quota! So...we also have two Westies.

Wow! She now looks like a young pup compared to her old self! I congratulate you on your willpower not to give in to her presumed begging! We have a cat that is going to need that treatment real soon as he has become way too big!

(that's what max said when he saw the pictures, don't shoot the messenger)

This, above all, is life-prolonging for one of the best dogs on the planet. We love you and we love Lucy.

What a sweet doggy you have! We have a smaller version, same color, called Piedina. Have a great holiday weekend!

Congrats to you both! She looks awesome and so glad she's feeling better. It's not an easy task, so job well done. What does the vet say? Ciao Lucy, Valorie
