Gratitude Friday: Time...
I can remember as a kid asking my mom (many times) the very kid-like questions, “When will we get there”?, followed by “How long is soon”?, followed by “How long is 30 minutes”? , followed by “I can’t count to 60, 30 times!”! Ah, to be young and have no clue of time or to think a 1/2 hour was an eternity.
I’ve always thought it strange how life seems to pass so much faster as we are older. Are we so much more occupied as we get older that a 1/2 seems like a smidgen of time, one that can make or break your entire day? Maybe.
Today, I managed to have 3 doctors appointments, pay the bills at the post office, write and send a proposal for work, and have an impromptu caffè with a friend all before 11:30AM. In Italy. This is a miracle, a luxury - something that certainly does not happen during the “season”, or possibly may not happen again. Today I had time on my side. What a nice feeling. Thank you time.
Buon weekend a tutti!

Hi Megan
Pleased you managed so much before 11.30 and a coffee with a friend. :-)
I am not sure of the study, or what it is called, but I do know that time is to do with familiarization....ie...when you go on holiday the first few days goes quite slowly..but the longer you spend there the quicker it goes..that is because the area close by becomes familiar, how to get to the shop, buy a baguette, take the same walk there, etc etc, and for a child they are learning everyday, and the older they get, things become familiar. so we need to expand and learn something each day or at least each week.
I hope I have explained this properly, it might seem gobbled..try and find somewhere to read about it.
Great that you managed to get so much done . Not sure how great three doctor's appointments are , though
Delicious looking coffee . That would revive anyone !
I amazed by the three doctor visits!
Hope you had a great weekend.
hai sentito anche il "crack" di uno dei sigilli? ;)
Il tempo è poco e prezioso ed è un peccato che per correre per arrivare sempre in tempo ce lo si lasci scappare via...
