Limited Creative Juices Flowing...

There are so many people out there in blog world that I admire for their creativity (Di and Amanda come to the top of my mind).  I wish I possessed more of that talent, although I am prone to say it's more a lack of time than actually ability.  But when I read some of these fantastic "how to" blogs, be it art, food or knitting, I am inspired.  And I got the "itch" this week of make something.

My latest "project" was to find/create a vassoio (tray) for our poggiapiedi (footrest) which will double as a table and ultimate comfort tool for those couch potato moments (we are finally getting Sky next week - yippee!).  I found this already good looking wood tray at a funky little store in Genova (by the way, Genova has lots of fun and funky stores):

I wanted to continue our "seaside" theme and dug into my collection of shells:

Then for contrast, I painted the inside of the tray:

And the final outcome was this:

Even Lucy seems to like it!

Very pretty. I like it.

Enjoy SKY. One of my best investments since the move.

Very nice ! If I could only find a funky store, I would make one just like it using my Australian collection of shells or sea glass!

Love it! I wish we had more 'fun and funky' stores around here too.

We must be connected through the thermal currents as you are the Liguria link on my recent post! Weird hey?!

Beautiful job on the tray. Maybe you'll be opening your own little funky store?

The tray is much prettier than the one in LB! Good work!
